Important tips:
  • For most positions the application also serves as a testing document. Take the time to complete it thoroughly. Resumes are welcome as an attachment but not as a substitute for completing the application form.

  • Use the “Tab” key to move through the application fields; do not use the “Enter” key to advance to the next field.

  • Required fields are identified by a red asterisk (*).

  • Your application has been successfully submitted when you hit the submit button and receive an onscreen message with a green checkmark stating “Your application has been submitted. Thank you for your interest.”

  • Please consider completing the voluntary demographic survey. This information is not shared with staff involved in the selection process. It is used to help the City evaluate the effectiveness of our recruitment efforts.


Reapplying or applying for more than one position?
You will use the same application to apply for other posted positions. Review your application carefully before submitting for each position to make sure that it is updated and current. Do you need to update your applicant statement or attachments?

If accessing an existing account for the first time since our April 2022 system upgrade, you will need to click on 'PIN Account Migration' to create a username and password. Trying to create a new account when you already have an existing applicant account will result in errors.

Next steps:
You may access your Applicant Profile under the Employment Opportunities menu to resume work on a saved application or to review the status of your application for posted positions. Application status is manually updated by Human Resources staff so you should expect a delay between the submission of an application and a change in your status.

Following the deadline, applications are screened for minimum qualifications and made available to the hiring team who will select interview candidates. Candidates chosen for an interview will be contacted by phone or email. Those not chosen will be notified by email. The timeframe for this process varies depending on the number of applicants, necessary screening for the position, etc.

You can update and save changes to your application at any time to be prepared for future openings.
